Dracanie Flag & Crest

The ROD is establishing our embassy in the Royaume de Dracanie, so we wanted to share some information about this beautiful European country. We will start with the flag and the crest.

The Dracanie flag is a dark purple field with a white Nordic cross with very dark green trim.

The royal crest of Dracanie is a gray-green shield with diagonal purple and green stripes. The upper left quadrant carries a light gray fleur de lis to represent the French heritage of the Dracanie people. The lower right quadrant carries a Saxifraga cotyledon – a flower found in the mountains of northern Europe, to represent the Norwegian heritage of the Dracanie people.

The people of Dracanie are fond of dragons, which feature prominently in Dracanie legends and lore, so the crest is often shown with flanking dragons.
