The Army exists to kill people and break stuff. They may be called upon to perform other missions from time to time, like peacekeeping, disaster relief, or deterrence, but their primary mission is now and has always been to fight and win wars.
ROD Army
The Army maintains a modest staff for Army Headquarters and for the Joint Forces Staff. In addition, there are eight Major Commands in the army. These commands include Forces Command, Training Command, Facilities Command, Army Medical Command, Human Resources Command, Army Judicial Command, Recruiting Command, and Procurement Command. Army field units are all located in Forces Command (FORCECOM).
FORCECOM units are divided into four categories: I Corps, II Corps, Independent units, and Reserve Forces.
